Had a friend fly Cathay from MEL to HKG last Sunday on what they are sure was a China Eastern aircraft.
Would that have been operated by Cathay flight crew or is it an indication of the growing rostering problems?

what!! could anyone prove its true!?
As my point of view, is more likely to see Air China A330-200 instead of China Eastern if they really doing this.

It’s untrue. All three flights operated by CX from Melbourne to Hong Kong on Sunday 30th March were CX aircraft.

You sound pretty adamant 404 Titan. I'll check my source again, although with 35 years in the industry I'm sure he knows a different interior and paint scheme when he sees it.

Maybe your friend meant that some of the cabin crew were from China Eastern. CX trains them on secondment from China Eastern/Air China. Not sure if the scheme is still going though.
