Dear all,

I am planning to relocate my family to Norway and am aiming for employment with Netjets. Can anyone advise me on the the tax situation for both pay and per diems as I understand the pay is taxed at source in Portugal. Does it get taxed again in Norway? I so, at what rate? Also what is a good banking arrangement to transfer the pay into Kroner; I believe it is Euros for anyone living in Europe. Any other general info on good locations to live with the 1 hr commute etc and advice on how the NJE lifestyle suits living in Norway would be much appreciated.

Mange takk!

Wannabe.......

If you live in Norway you WILL pay tax in Norway. Since you are based in Norway I would expect that you pay all your tax in Norway, but I could be wrong and and you pay some to Norway and not NOR + Portugal.

Only one thing is for sure. You will pay tax and a lot of it. :ugh:
