Jet Airways IFE

I flew Bom-Lhr on Jet on the 1st and the ife in economy was continually failing.The cabin crew did try a few resets to no avail.I was surprised as it was a fairly new 777.
Also how do you get an upgrade with them?I am flightdeck but was told that the cabin crew cannot authorise this.

The platform is PANASONIC and yes its not a stable IFE.

To your 2nd question, the rules to move up are rigid and do not give crew the discretion.

Thank you for your reply rdr.The ife problem was causing a lot of consternation for the crew who were getting repeated pax complaints about it.It was lucky I had a good book for the 9 hour flight.

The Cockpit Crew in Jet do not have the Official Authority to upgrade and some of them have been in rather hot water when they did ! Lots of management stooges in the Cabin Crew dept.

So enjoy the "luxurious" B777 Economy Class with it's malfunctioning IFE, the next time you fly 9W !!
