Merry Christmas to everybody,
Is there any "good" Company out there where I could place an application for freelancing on BD700 and or CL604/5?
I know about acass, but is there any else?
And just to compare.. What would be a realistic rate for (BD700 / CL604 F/O TT app. 1900hrs) ?
Especially regarding recurrent training which I will have to pay on my own every year.
Thanks and have some good days.

Don't know anyone but ACASS, but do know some free lancers-they say they need to put aside half their daily rate to account for taxes, training, etc. About 1200-1800 USD per day, but mostly overseas rates. Talked with a US expat in London-he reported about 30K per month on a somewhat lengthy contract. Generally, most guys seem to make a deal on a contract for periods longer than two weeks.

What kind of license do you have? JAA / FAA / ICAO? This has the most impact on your desire. There are many companies in Europe looking for someone with this ratings. I agree with galaxy flyer: Try to get a contract for some time and let the company pay for the recurrent. The rates given from galaxy flyer seem too high in Europe - this rates apply to captains if they pay their training by them selfs. Common rates in Europe are for F/O 600 - 700 € under time limited contracts. Jet Alliance in Vienna might need a BD-700 driver.... Good luck:)

Yes, those rates were per diem for pilots paying for their own training, self-employment taxes, health insurance and all the other "extras" Yanks need.

Hi Lindberg,
I have a JAA ATP and an FAA CPL, gonna perform my test for the FAA ATP within the next few month.
Thank you for the help so far.
Is there any "pilot-providing-company" like ACASS out there which is a good place to have a CV? If I do my own "self employed" thing, I would need more companies calling me to do a job. I am not sure if one provider is enough.
Thanks

By the way,
just checked JAG in Vienna.
What's up with them?
F/O !!!!!
TT: 3000
JEt: 1000
Type: 500
FO start salary: some 1600 €
CPT start: some 3500 €
Perdiems : 20 - 70
????
First of all... With 3000 I am CPT.
And that with 8000 € net....
Right?!?
Tell me if I got something wrong...
Thanks

Treat the requirements on the home page as a wish of the companies. The same with the money. If they find one , ok... At the moment the market is writing the rules.... But keep it level: No serious company will offer you with 3000 TT a left hand seat on a GLEX. The insurance will ask them a fortune for that... Except you are an outstanding good pilot with a good seniority in the company. Than you are right. But if you want this, you are on the wrong track: Freelance is good for money and perhaps flying hours, but effects adversely the seniority. Any company copilot will have the first chance to upgrade than a direct entry upgrade... think about this.... Even most companies officially dont have something like seniority.. But first they have to keep their people happy.
Working for companies like Acass effects the money as well - they make good money from you. This is the same as all other companies in the business. Try to make your own contract with a company.... But check the ads from Flight International and you will find a lot of others.
There are so many jobs on the market for you, so spend first some thoughts about your desire and than decide your way.
Good luck :E
PS: Where is the company with 8000 € net? and a good roster? :oh:

I wanted to go ahead and put my name out there...
I'm a FAA licensed commercial pilot up to CMEL and MEI as well, nearing 900 hours..
Unlike most pilots on this forum, I really have no ambition to work for a regional or major airline.. I am wanting to find myself either flying business jets or cargo (or both, IE AirNet)...
I'm also wanting to settle down with a company and these lengthy contracts are something new to me.. would it be possible if you guys could explain things like that and point me in the right direction? I know I'm not even IFR PIC (For 135) but I've already been in the 135 environment for 5 months and the company I'm with may not be around too much longer due to issues with ownership.. so I'm trying to find out what trustworthy companies around the US-ASIA area that I could get a job with..

Au contraire.
I think you'll find most habitants of this forum are quite happy with the bespoke end of the market with no desire whatsoever to go to an airline.

I take that back then..
Other forums I was participating in (mainly flight instructors) want to go to the major airlines and fly 747's..

If you go for ACASS only work for them on a Daily Rate. Their monthly rate is pooooor ($) and of course you don't get paid when you are off. They will do a deal for you on a type rating / recurrent but then you are stuck on 6 week rotation I'm getting paid considerably more for flying 604 than I was flying GLEX for them and that on a 15/15 and not in Moscow !!
My advice with ACASS - tread carefully
