Heard a strong rumour that ATC in DXB are to get a 70-80% pay rise very soon. Any truth in this?

They have received it already a week or two ago, 15 000 AED across the board.

They have been advised of it as of the 1st week of November, however the pay rise only takes effect from January 2008.
No doubt there are some very pleased separ8tors out there from Dubai..... Some of them have already gone and purchased some new cars.
Wonder how many are going to invest in houses in and around Dubailand??
Congratulations to them ! (Especially for the ones who do a fine job !) :D
