Hi
I am writting a paper regarding pilot recruitmentprocesses.
Therefore I would like to know what you think is an attractive job?
Is it high salary, pension, homebase, fast upgrade, flexibility, fixed roster, typerating, etc......what do you think?
We can all agree that we want the best conditions but to make it real I will just like you to state the things which are MOST important for you!
It doesnt matter if you are a brand new pilot or you have several years experience ;)
I am a pilot myself and is studying a bit as well (that is why I am writting this paper).
If you could state your level of experience as well......thank you :ok:
Looking forward to hear from you all!!
Best regards
Mikkel :)

Quality of life. No doubt about that. Salary and time off go hand in hand. A job must pay what it is worth. There is no need to have a huge paycheck and then no time off. Then again all the time off and no money wont do much good either.

1. all nights at home base (or close to all nights)
2. blond flight attendants that like pilots and alcohol.
3. roster, money, yada yada yada....

Night-stops with hosties that like champagne and redbull, then a bloody good game of hotel twister.
Getting paid is a perk......

As I always have to be "mot-vals" ;), I feel the need to epress my wish to see some new horizons.
If the company is good and I feel respected, location is of lesser importance.
Pay have to be OK though, no matter how nice the company.

Speaking as a non-flying manager sort of person, working the usual office hours:
1: The job itself
2: The people you work with (especially your boss)
3: Location
4: Time off
5: Salary
6: Oppertunity to further ones qualifications, for instance an Aviation MBA paid by company
7: Having a mate who can organize jollies in a Stearman :ok:
8: Getting involved in shaping the industry, i.e. participating in IATA working groups
9: Getting involved with something really interesting, like being on the project team doing the implementation work for a fleet of shiny new aeroplanes
Moi? All but (3) fits my present job - could well do with homebase being somewhere warmer and sunnier. And, of course, anyone could do with a bit more dosh at the end of the month - myself included.
