I see from this weeks Flight Int there is an ad in for "V" Australia B777 ops in Oz for 2008.
So-will there be a move eastwards and homewards from the sandpit by the EK Oz mates?
Ts and Cs better than Jet Star? Or will the golden handcuffs prevail?
Anyone any ideas on the deal?

V Australia is the latest international airline in the Virgin Blue Group. We have ordered seven new B777-300ER aircraft and are scheduled to commence operations between Australia and the United States of America in November 2008. We also have options for a further six aircraft, giving us the flexibility to expand into other markets in the future.
V Australia will offer a career that is both challenging and rewarding. You will be operating one of the worlds most sophisticated, reliable and modern long haul aircraft. Long haul flying offers unique challenges where teamwork, resilience and continuous improvement take on a new meaning.
Our vision is to build and grow Australia’s newest, most exciting and trusted International airline, powered by our passionate people. Naturally our flight crew will play an integral role in achieving this vision. We will be building a work environment for our people, focussed on providing:
Lifestyle balance;
Career opportunties; and
Personal growth.Therefore we will ensure a management team and support network that will foster high standards in quality and excellence.
As an ambassador for the airline, you will have the opportunity to use your professionalism to create a working environment that strives for the very best from everyone.
I have to admit that any company advertising "personal growth" as argument to work for them, makes me suspicious 'cause i've seen and done it before: It's the opposite of "account growth"........:}
But let's wait and see what's in the bag of T&C's.

No I heard it will be the pay for experienced 777 Captains.I think TRI's will 16% on top and TRE's 20%.Not sure if they still have the 15K a year retention bonus.F/O's will get 60 % of Captains pay.

All I can say is I worked there and wouldn't go back while the current idiots from management are in charge.Unless you like getting treated like a child.
They have no respect for anyone and proved it everyday with their behaviour.
No change from EK then but at least you are at 'HOME'.

If I applied could I look forward to a once in a lifetime generous offer to self sponsor myself on their B777's? :suspect:
