There is still time to reconsider before Feb comes along. Are you sure you want to commit to the sand?

You must be coming from either a South American country or a real !!!!e airline that makes you very sure to be joining EK. Either way you should still reconsider. It is all not what it seems or what EK has told you.

Neither is it all that Cerebus has told you, point is he hasn't told you anything.

cerbus,

Sounds like you do live in the sand and for some reason you don't like it. That's fine, but it sounds like YOU are the one that comes from some !!!!e airline or part of the world that is not doing so well in the aviation business. So... Mark JB can take your place. Its not too late to go back to your "wonderful" place it is you come from. EK will not beg you to stay. Door is open buddy....close it on your way out.

Mark JB, Welcome to the sand. Make the best of it! Its not a bad place at all!

It is good to be put on the Airbus as anyone joining the 777 now will be in for a long wait for a command unless the there are further Boeing orders ( It's looking like a large A350 order at the moment).
Don't worry about the negative comments, Emirates is far from perfect however there are worse jobs around

does not matter what fleet, upgrades @ 4 years on both and that might include 380, you just have to do the math. Company good , Dubai sucks

I am not tring to defend the company in anyway, but please present facts wrt the " company sucks " . I have freinds in airlines all over the world and we are all just waiting for the next better gig and that has not happened yet. I did not say the company was great only good. How many pilots have left in the last 6 months? Not as many as people had said would, but alot are just waiting as I said. I will be the first to go when something comes along that I feel is better. For those that think the company sucks please just leave and if you have nowhere to go than just shutup we are all tired of hearing you bitch all the time.

When you Emirates is good what are you compareing it to? Other 3rd world airlines? Emirates loves to compare itself to other first class airlines (SQ, CX, BA, LH) but do you notice how many of those pilots are here. The fact is EMirates just does not compare to those airlnes. When you say Emirates is good are you comparing this airline to second rate airlines? I for one notice the distinct lack of work rules here, the low pay and the lack of respect. I do agree that when the opportunity opens up a lot of Emirate pilots will be gone but that time has not come yet.
It is a pretty bold statement to say shut up or leave (or words to that effect) when we have invested to much in coming to sand. Should we not make Emirates a better place to work so others can enjoy what we thought we were signing up for?

CERBUS, please shut up and go away. Your posts (here and on other forums) are ridiculous and one sided. EK have obviously had big problems with you and there is a large chip on your shoulder. We all know EK is not that bad.

Well that is a BOLD statement.....!

It may be true that Ek is not "that bad" but how can it be better if there is a mind set that is not open to discussion and debate?
Do not be so close minded to believe that market forces can and do change.
Sometimes for the better if a cognitive argument can be brought forward and debated openly, without bringing in personal attacks and vitrol.

(whew... all those big words)
