After flying the 737 for a while now in Africa, I have decided to get a typerating and seek employment in the middle east or Asia.

But I must confess, since I am paying for my own type I am just a little unsure on what type of Aircraft I believe would get the airlines interested.

I know the B767, B777, B747, A330/340 are very popular in this regions, but in your opinion lads, what would just work for me.

Asking for some help here from the lads in this area, would appreciate it a lot.

Thanks.

hi zaz, that all depend on how many hrs u have on type or total, but i think that gulf airways has openings for b767 and a320 F/Os, Etihad airways 2.so y dont u try?! salaries are not bad approx (10 to 11 k US) a month, plus accomodtion free with free utilities and other good benifits, bahrain and auh are fun place to live... unlike other gulf countries :ok:

Hi zazzo,
Dont really see the reason, to pay for a type these days, unles u have no experience. I recomend to try all the majors in the gulf. GF/EH/QR. sure u'll get a call from one f them. A lot f jobs aswell in India as well. All the best, my regards to Uncle kayode.
