If relinquishing all enterprise outside the North (I read downsizing and not being fussy about it) and with it their own palace wasn't bad enough, a certain Irish fella sure made a big show out of it. Swinging an axe in a stylish costume he devoted whole 40 minutes to fierce SAS bashing and shed pearls of wisdom as he went (we learnt that his outfit is IKEA of aviation and it is to look straight in the eye of BA and LH in ten years time). The point he made though is that the core of the SAS strategy, the focus on expansion in the North will have a very uncertain future the way things are going. Add the inevitable slowdown in the business to come sooner or later..we might be seeing some fun.
