Does anyone know what companies run N reg planes in the UK/employ people with an FAA CPL/IR. If not where to look to find them other than the FAA web site. Biz Jets/flight schools, anything!!!

Quite a lot af Biz aircraft are "N" registered in Europe actually.. .I am myself a "N" Seneca jockey, but I guess you may be more interested by Bizjet than Bizprop !. .The only thing I can confirm about flying a "N" corporate or Biz A/C is that it involves luck and networking !. .Where in Europe will you work ?

I can fully understand the comments about luck and networking - but, like you, I'm looking for some initial pointers about who to network with!
Cheers,

Thanks for the info. It seems like a lot of peple are saying there plenty of N reg's in England, but when it comes to it, they don't know where they actually are. The search continues!! This is just an interim thing, as I start at the Guildhall in a month, I just wanted to be able to use my CPL/IR until then and at the weekends.
Cheers

Hi Johnny
If you look for a "N" registered A/C to stay current, the best thing to do is to look around at GA airfields for those Planes¨
Plenty of owners are registering PA28 or 34 in the US, not only citations or HS125
Quite a lot of N registered toys are in the channel Islands. I can also remember few of them in Bournemouth.
So take your car and drive to this kind of places, once you spot one , It shouldn't be very difficult to get in touch with thier owners.
I don't suggest you to come here in France, to have a go in the "N" Seneca I usually fly; since my boss won't be very entusiastic about that.
Take care
The Networking and luck business are still valid factors ....

Hi,
Having posted a similar question in the Private Flying forum, I received a couple of helpful replies that I'll share here:
From SKYYACHT: there's an N-reg at Shoreham, EGKA
From AC-DC: has a plane under 14 CFR Part 91; also suggests that Elstree has N-reg Single Commanche, Twin Commanche, Warrior, Commander
FROM Julian: there's a C172 at Popham.
Thanks to SKYYACHT, AC-DC and Julian for this info!
Cheers

I don't want to fall foul of the pprune no-advertising rules, but at the risk of sailing close to the wind I'll say there's a man at Lands End St Just called Warren Chmura who runs a Trust with about 160 UK and Europe-based N-reg aircraft on the books. If you want any information about N-regs he's pretty much the horse's mouth. He's also an all-round good guy who flies fixed-wing and rotary and rebuilds Hiller 12Cs. He's on 01736 786032.

Try a copy of jp Bizjet by Brian Gates published by Buchair01737 224747@£15.95 It lists every Bizjet in the world with locations and owner/operators. In my experience this is difficult territory and all about who you know. N reg is a gamble in UK as JAR ops is the only real acceptable route to quantity of work with little or no acceptance of N time or experience . In rare cases you may be allowed to fly G reg on a validation but for one year only.Africa is considered a good source of work particularly for Turbine time. The Bizjet operators still want hours and time on type.Happy hunting. These in an American flight training school based at Norwich which has a number of N-reg aircraft. The school is called something like "american flight training" or something similar and is run by Tom Houston.

The only two N-reg aircraft that I can remember who operates them are:
Ambrion Aviation - N reg Hawker 125 700 based at Luton
The bloke who owns Matalan has an N-reg Hawker 800XP based at Blackpool (I think).
Hope this helps a bit

find a good reggie spotters book, they seem to find the end user of A/c when everyone else cant...THEN, do a search for the company on the companies house web site, hey presto, you have a mailing address for your C.V

Hamlin Jet ( by MikeHamlin) out of Luton. LR45's I believe.
On any airfield in the UK, you will find an N reg A/C (at least).
Plenty out of EGBJ, EGTG, EGNH,.... Single, twin, piston and jets.
The difficult bit is to find one you can hire but far from impossible.
