What's the latest on QR flying to the US? Apparently they want to make a stop in GVA before heading over to the US. Does that make sense?

well.. those of you who know me, know that I have never been one to start or spead rumors.. but, this is some first hand information i aquired to help bring a more posative outlook on this thead..

Doha to Washington DC route is forecasted to be done Direct with the A346.. also concidering Doha to JFK useing A330 via Geneva.. well that being said, I believe some one is thinking on this one.. although direct flights are the most saught after means of travelling from point A to point B. If one must make a transit stop.. it would be much more comercially viable to do so thru Geneva.. as most know the Geneva - JFK sector it thick with UN passenger traffic and the like.. thus helping to increase the load,, that is if traffic rights are given out of Geneva.. hhmm, i wonder if the Emir's father.. the former Emir of Qatar might have some pull on that one.. as he does permenantly reside there these days..

Concur with Krunch's comments about the A346 to Washington. Not sure about the GVA intermediate stop to New York though.

But, hey, sounds like a great idea.

well, considering that there are already double daily flights to the New York area from GVA by Swiss and Continental, nobody in the swiss market is waiting for another flight...... not sure if that is a great idea.
