Hi all,
Just a quick question for you. Can you advise me who were the Chief Test Pilots of Hawkers prior to Neville Duke.
Cheers

Well, George Bulman was Chief Test Pilot from 1925 to 1945. I believe Trevor Wade succeeded him until he was killed on 3 APR 51, flying the P1081 prototype. There was a 10 day gap between his crash and Neville Duke's appointment as CTP.

GBZ,
Many thanks, thats much appreciated. I have an original Hawkers picture of the Seahawk, which is signed. It has been suggested to me it was signed by the CTP prior to Neville Duke, but i am unsure.
If i can post an image would appreciate any help in deciphering who it may be
Cheers

Well there are blogs and there blogs, some of which are refused space on this site.
This one however is probably the most important one. If you want to see who it was and what it was that any one of these gallant gentleman tested. It surely is here.
Quite brilliant.

I believe that Frank Murphy was the CTP of Hawkers, immediately prior to Neville Duke. There's a little more detail here.
