Hi all I am currently studying for my part 66 licence and am on a fast track trying to complete all 17 modules within 3years with my university. After my 3 years I am required to do 2 years work experience, however if I fail a module 3 times before a pass the extra 2 years turns into 5 years, effectively making it an 8 year course. But I can only carry a module 1 year I have passed modules 1,2,4,5,8 and have failed 3,6 with a 72% an 65%, and to keep my reduction I would have to do 3 and 6 this year. I am now jus starting module 11 which is the biggest module and am wondering whether just to concentrate on this module and lose my reduction, or should I try and cram mod 3 an 6 in with this years modules. Any advice an info from anybody who has gone through this ‘rough patch’ would be great!!

P.S Any good sources for Module 11 - roumer that club66 questions aren't similar to exams??

Thanks for anythin !! :ok:

I presume if you're doing mod 11, you are on a B1 course? If so, you will only be doing mods 1-11, 15 and 17. If you fail the modules 3 times, given enough time (either 1 or 3 months) you can go to the CAA and do the modules there. If its the same as my college it shouldn't affect your basic training certificate.

He said attempting to complete all 17 exams, that means he is going in for Avionic AND Helicopter extensions as well!

No wonder he's having trouble! :ugh:

Personally, I'd attempt to get the missing modules out the way as soon a possible, however... My learning style maybe different to yourself. I've got 4 modules left to sit and the essay in my B1. I've got all my Cat A modules.

I understand your frustration with Mod 6. My result was 74.6% with one more question right i would have passed! Why cant they round Upwards?!!!

Haha! Oh well! Good Luck, i just found out that i've passed Mod 15 with over 80%! :cool:

Resit 3 & 6 ASAP mate, it's a fair old while till your Module 11 exam, get them nailed, especially module 6!! (Nightmare)

If your unsure of the requiements have a chat with Ashley.

But I believe you are correct, to get the course cert, you are required to pass all the exams within 3 attempts. Get reading up on them over xmas and sit in Jan perhaps? :ok:

club66pro as it is now has a large database of questions that are updated regularly. They change the odd word within a question to give it a whole new meaning just like the CAA do. I have found it an excellent addition to my study material. I can let you know how useful on Friday. Module 11:eek:

I would resit the modules asap, 3 years is a lot of money:}

My Company has this on some exams, but the number of times you can fail inside the training school is always one less than the number of exam papers so that no one can actually ever sit every exam paper in the database. After that, you must go to the CAA. However if you dont pass inside 3 Attempts are you really cut out to be a Cert?

Sat Module 11 (B1 conversion) last Friday. 50 of the 90 questions were club66pro word for word! The majority of the questions on the website have references to the CAA suggested reading material, what more could you ask for?
Yes I passed.:)
