JetStar found the pilots they were looking for, now it's Easyjets turn?

Easyjet are looking for both Boeing and Airbus pilots, DECs. With many of us looking to get out and go home they could hit a rich vein of pilots here. It's hard to jump but with a little push from them and Ed will have to redo his graph dramatically.

Just a rumour, but then that's why we're here.

Looks like the pissed off Airbus F/Os will get there commands in an orange A320.
Looks like transition upgrades or big f/o losses for EK.
Its so comforting to watch from the outside..

Still trying to get more information and validate the info...

Easy have just announced that they are planning to develop Madrid into a major hub... so I would imagine it would be a basing option...

Still, love to see them here.

Having done my time in the dream (or is it nightmare) that is easyjet, I have no idea why anybody would even comtemplate this move!

Be Warned, be very careful.

Funny, the same could be said of Emirates.

I realise that it is not a great job, but then we have all been through the anti-climax of 'the promise verses reality'. The comparison with JetStar is that pilots are now willing to consider these jobs which only a few years ago would not have been given a second thought such has been the demise of Emirates.

It's just an option with hopefully others on the way.

But if can leave EK as an f/O Airbus and become instant A320 Captain at home , easy choice ...............

Only problem is, you can't!!

You would get into the command assesment regime after a minimum of six months, said process can take up to a year. You then get in line for the next available course behind any of the 600 or so existing FOs who are qualified, all so you can take whichever base they choose for you.

Two years to command and another two till you get a decent base would be about the norm, all so you can push an A319 full of yobs aroung Europe, and you get to travel with them on your 25 days P/A leave!! (if you can afford it after paying UK tax/real estate/petrol)

To be fair, nice people, fixed roster and no overnights, but it is definatley the other end of the airline spectrum.

And the queue for Madrid will be very, very long....

Where do we sign up? Please post when EJ comes to DXB. I am sure that there will be line a mile long of pilots wanting to get back to Europe.
