Hi, going on touring holiday around Malaysia and I was wondering where/how aircraft (e.g. Cessna 152) are hired and what the likely cost would be. I have a UK JAR licence and am current instructor and FO.

Two choices Tubbs,
Royal Selangor Flying Club on the Sungei Besi airbase in Kuala Lumpur or Subang Flying Club at Subang, the old international airport.
Probably better availability at RSFC and better rates at 350RM (50 pounds sterling) solo, add 70RM for dual.
C172 available at RSFC, you may get C152 at SFC.
