Am waiting on my computer number like many of other pilots I gather. However, with the final application for exams to be sent through by 21 September, how are we suppose to send the application form on time with no Computer Number. Form CA-9 (Pilot) states thats "If Computer number NOT filled, the application will NOT be accepted"
I am currently situated in a certain part of the world where it takes at least 3 weeks for mail to reach India!!
All phone calls to the DGCA office have been an utter waste of time since, as always, they were their usual unhelpful selves :ugh:
Anyone else in the same boat or is there another form that can be sent without a computer number??
Thanks in advance

A'right BC

Sounds reminiscent of the situation I faced when I was doing my exams. I too was in the same dilema regarding comp no & not being in India.

Unfortunately there is no alternative. If your application does not include your comp no, then its a no go. There is no way around this. The only suggestion is to get over to India to sort all this out - it worked for me, I hope it can work for you.

Good Luck

Thanks HPC

Did not go to India do to my current work commitments with my company but might be a wise decision to head off to India asap.

BC,

Yep....its the only damn way with these :mad: :mad: in dgca. U have to be here and better only if ur in delhi personally. I had no info while trying to contact them from overseas too. In fact dont use the phone on them! they seem to have an allergic reaction which manifest into raging answers like "Look in the website" or never picking up the phone at all!!!

Everyone learns the hard way in india:}

Good luck mate
