Dear Friends,
I wish to write to all Indian airline compnies on behalf of all those who hold
CPL from overseas but do not hold 12 Std with Physics and Maths to request DGCA to revoke above condition when converting overseas licence to Indian licence.

It is quite evident that most of the airlines are not aware of this issue and DGCA is implimenting above rule without evaluating the situation.
This woud not only help Indians but also people holding OCI (Overseas Citizen of India).

It would be really kind of you if you can reply this with contact address/
e.mail I.D.s of CEO's of Indian airline companies so that above request reaches to the right person.

Thanks for your kind gesture in advance!

Hi Tex

You are not the first one to do so. Indian rules are rigid and if you need a CPL issued in india you need to have all the qualifications as laid down in the rules. DGCA is very good in showing you a deaf ear.

Its impossible bend the rules for fresh CPL holders because all airlines can get valid indian CPL holders with the current rate of people getting trained and converting thru various means  If you are an OCI the only option is to get urself a type rating log some hours.. and then apply for F/o positions.

If things were as easy as you think it is.... well you would not be flying today since india would've already got a lion's share of pilots

Thanks
Haree
