Can anyone enlighten me on the deal with expats flying in Vietnam :ugh:
Are there any oportunities for low hour drivers??
ie ICAO Frozen ATPL, 1500TT, 600ME Turbine (DHC-6)
Any info/help appreciated

Don't think much is going on with Vietnam airlines. I heard the Viet government had just cracked down on the airline for inhouse corruption of management to the tune of several million dollars. Word is that will be clouding immediate prospects of employment, expansion plans and the like. I'd give them a good 6 months for the cloud to settle.

I used to fly for VN, but they only take typerated pilots with a specified amount of total time and time on type, sorry that's it.

Vietnam Airlines sends its cadets in Europe and they are trained on a JAR syllabus. They have send also some cadets in Australia, but I have gotten the information from inside they prefer the quality of the European training. VIETNAM Airlines by contrast with some other regional airlines is very demanding about quality.
As the previous post is indicating, they recruit only typerated and experienced expat pilots.
