JCAB Regulations

I was wondering if someone knew the web address, if one so exists, for any of the JCAB regulations. I have been unable to find any info, and i would like to have a general look at the air rules/procs before i head over to Tokyo and start studying.

Any info would be great.

From your other posts, I gather you have accepted an offer of employment - or are you yet to do the screening?
Once employed, the airline will give you study material for the Air Law exams - that's not to say that these are the Q&A's - they are NOT, as the last lot of exams for the foreign pilots from JAL Express, NCA, and A-Net found out :bored:

You should try to obtain the English version of the Japanese AIM - new one is published each year.

I did the JCAB ATPL exam in late March this year. Was that the one u meant? Even though they did do alot of changes on that test, i'm not sure about your numbers. It was hard but most (not all) got through.:ok:

For any guys that are about to take on the exams: Your company will give u enough information to pass. It's up to you to use that information and study hard, No Roppongi guys :} !!

Colleagues in an earlier class (early last year) had a very high failure rate I believe.

The exam was changed back then by the JCAB. Someone mentioned that the JCAB started translating the Japanese version for us gajins and the one we took back in August last year was just hard to understand i.e. two answers would be correct, etc.

Our preparation was study previous tests... Close to 50% of the questions was changed for us from what was given at the previous test. Studying on your own will help for sure, but I don't think any of our guys did and we all passed our test. Could be that JCAB and our airline got together for some green tea :O

Your company will give u enough information to pass.That has often been the case in the past, but it doesn't ALWAYS apply.
JCAB like to keep that "element of surprise" up their sleeve, and invariably sneak in random questions to catch the unwary.

I think you'll agree that YOUR team (I'll hazard a guess that the colour is blue ) generally applied themselves fairly conscientiously, and did some "extra" reading.
Other pilots did NOWHERE near as well as most of you guys, which resulted in a high overall fail rate.
Give yourselves a well-deserved pat on the back.

The ones who were succesful were those who guessed the correct answers. Even on the questions that had no correct answer....or 2 correct answers....or just made no sense at all!!:ugh:
