Very stable outfit although the guys are working overtime every month due to only 11 skippers for 4 or 5 aircraft. I am not with GO by the way but thye are all very friendly and down to earth. You will prolly get to stay at the Grand Hyatt until an apartment can be found for you. One of the guys has just moved into one and by all accounts the company is bending over backwards to please him. Here is an example, 1) he didnt like the door handles, so off they came and new ones put in, and 2) he didnt like the flooring so it was replaced by marble. The locals will try and please you, but dont try and take them for fools cos they are very clued up people. Just tell them what you want and they will do it or try very hard to please you.
I have one bit of advice for you though. Dont come to work without a unform! := := :=

cheers

Heard they have already significant less than 11 skippers now. And the day will come they have to ground aircrafts due to lack of skippers. Why? Working with Go must be the hell on earth. In all aspects, as I learned from friends. one has always to fight for the money, for the days off, even for the uniform, for everything. Some excellent guys there, well 1 or 2, maybe 3, but without any power, because there is only ONE Big-young-Boss, and he seems to be a kind of a :mad: . No clue about business and no clue about aviation abusiness in particular. The actual business is already no. 3 or 4: for some interesting infos see www.google.in
A lot of higly frustrated and demotivated skippers leaving this company, btw unfortunately very experienced ones. And no new ones are coming in. :ugh:
Hotel situation is bad. Must be a permanent change, once started quite high, but getting lower after every change. Seems they have to change so often, because they don't pay (well) the bills, acc rumours. Nearly everybody from flightdeck is prepared to jump-off. Overall bad mood everywhere.
Marbel for tiles, those days have gone:{

FAA A-320 Capt (Current)

How does one go about getting info on available ExPat jobs in India or China, and how do you apply for them. Have sent C/V's to Indian Airlines but no replies. What I am I doing wrong, or is the boom over with?

Not really Air Deccan is a low cost airline operating 320 and ATR42 and 72. They are adding one aircraft every two months and are looking for Capts. You can write to Capt Preetham Philip (VP Operations) at [email protected] and Capt samuel(Director) at [email protected]

I happen to work for Air Deccan

Air.....Indian airlines is NOT an indian employer which hires expats.Its got a cadet system in place.The ones you need to be looking at though are,1)Kingfisher airlines...Recruitment Boss is a certain Capt D.D.Gandhi.2)Indigo airways...a startup airline/leasing company.Has signed up for over 95,yes 95 A319/320/321's.Rec boss is a certain Capt Shakti Lumba.3)GO Air.....BTW does anybody here know what the ex(i think) boss there is all about ie Capt V.K Sharma?? Heard he's a nice fella to deal with:confused: .4)Air Deccan.Contact Preeth Phillips.And i would contact them in the order above!! All looking for type rated P1's/P2's.Take home pay for Capt would be to the order of approx 9-10k USD PM.Accomodation/Transportation looked after.Respective contact nos available on airline sites.Hope that helps.Again,any info on the Capt V.K.Sharma would be appreciated.Thx.

Capt V.K.Sharma is a very well known "brand name" in Indian aviation, sort of old school but a complete pilot & will back his crew any time..good guy

boeingdream787, all your info is bang on..except the IA/AI cadet system, no airline in India has a cadet pilot program in fact all ab-initio pilots pay up for the type rating
