View Full Version : Cessna Bravo Inverter Faliure

With utter frustration in need of help

Have a failure of the Inverter No1. The failure occurs randomly during any stage of flight. The usual failures of autopilot etc. occur.

So, after swapping the inverters and seeing if the failure occurs in the no2 , it does not, and after an exhaustive search through most other likely causes , apart from going through the wiring loom, problem still there ,so any ideas ?

Yes the aircraft is almost new 3 months old and cessna have suggested various thoughts on the matter, but, alas still the failure occurs?

You could post the question here. Not very well used but of great use at times.
Do you have the BF Goodrich standby Flight display (ESIS)? We are constantly replacing the magnetometer on the Bravo and XL.

Yes there is a large single unit fan for cooling and seems to me if it could do with a grup of smaller ones like on the airbus. But hay you cant really compare like for like in this case :)

We have replaced the co-pilot tube and wx tube as well, various other electronic items but sadly no help.

Yes, the idea of a cooling issue is good, but, this problem occurs as mentioned at all stages of flight and even while the crew are on the ground taxing to stand. Naturally they are fed up and need to have it fixed, we have even bought new inverter to swap.

Think maybe its a case of wiring loom next....... ahhhhh :}
