I have on my desk a copy of the Engineering Council code and rules of conduct which is maybe ten years old. From time to time I find it helpful to remind myself of bits of it.

With that in mind I've been trying to find a copy online, and failing dismally. Does anybody know of one?

The Engineering Council UK now delegates the specific codes of conduct to the individual member Institutions. They provide guidelines to the Institutes at:

UK EC Codes of Conduct (http://www.engc.org.uk/documents/code_of_conduct.pdf)

For Engineers in the RAeS, the rules are in Part 2 of Appendix II of the Bye Laws (http://www.raes.org.uk/raes/pdfs/BYLAWS250203.pdf) on pages 37 and 38.

For the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, the rules are also in the Bye Laws (http://www.imeche.org.uk/council/pdf/bylaws03.pdf) - on pages 27 and 28.

For the Gentlemen and Scholars of The Institute of Electrical Engineers, our Code of Conduct is here (http://www.iee.org/EduCareers/ProfDev/Guides/conduct.cfm):

Thanks for that, a bit of delegation that had passed me by.
