Hi,

Has anyone tried registering at http://www.pilotpool.aero/apzInfo.asp?Action=Joi for the Ryanair SAS type rating scheme?
After you type in your details and hit the next button, you get 'Page cannot be found'.

I have phoned and emailed SAS and BFSAA and spoken to various people, but nobody seems to be able to help.

Has anyone else found a way around this?

Thanks in advance.

I tried registering on pilotpool.aero a couple of weeks ago. I got there eventually but not before repeated 'Page Cannot Be Found' errors, as you have had. The website seems awful unstable but if you perservere you should be able to get your details onto it eventually.

Thanks for your message. I have tried registering about fifty times now at various points through the day and still I am getting page not found.

Oh well....

Not taking low hour pilots (assuming you are!), as full till late 2006!

Thanks for the info Mr Blue Eyes. You are right, I am a low hours pilot.

Why not try the Dutch School CAE - David Geuke is the contact there.

At the end of the day all you want is get your details noticed irrespective of which school represents you.

I know there is flexibility between Ryanair and the schools so even if you are put forward by CAE there may be an opportunity to still do your training with SAA.

Get the interview then worry about the training venue.

I went through CAE, and I must say the registration is just bogus for most pilots. They only call the most experienced guys. Imagine one guy dealing with thousands of applications. Either you call him, and get yourself an interview, or be sure you stand out from the rest (experience, 737- rated..).
Good luck! :ok:

Hi,

I haven't been on PPRuNe for a while, so thanks for your messages.
I did register with CAE, but I did not hear anything back. I appreciate what you are saying about them not wanting to sift through large numbers of application forms. I will phone them up.
