Does anybody have any information about ATC LASHAM purchasing the VC10 hangar 'Twin Peaks' on St. Athan for the servicing of 737s?

I'm interested in the number of personnel sought, what experience they are seeking, what the timescale would be for start-up, and what length of employment being offered.

Thanks in advance.

Here's an advert found in the South Wales Echo;

ATC Lasham is a Uk based mantenance company (blah blah), and are currently in discussion regarding the potential new operation at RAF St Athan and is seeking to recruit;

Licensed Aircraft Engineers
Fitters
Support Workers

Experiance on Boeing aircraft is preferable.

An informal "open evening" will be held (TONIGHT!) on September 7th, from 1800 to 2000 at "The Bear Hotel", High Street, Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan.

Anyone interested in attending contact 01446 753020

I know a few lads from work are going along, may pop up myself!

Hope this helps a bit?

I'm an ex-ATC LT, i have it on good authority than the LT's will be coming from Lasham while the unlicensed guys will be from wherever. A good bunch to work for.....good standards and seem to be expanding at a good rate. Best of luck

by all accounts the Bear Hotel was packed to the rafters with BAMC guys.Don't know if the money is enough to tempt the people with licences

Interesting.

When I was working there, I was told that they were turning Southend into an all Airbus maintenance facility and then Lasham into an all Boeing facility.

Both bases are surprisingly busy for this time of the year, with long term contracts with easyJet to mantain their 737's. Other contracts currently on the go at the moment at both the Southend and Lasham bases are the first Jet2 757's which arrived a few weeks back. Both should be ready within the next month. I renember last year, when at Southend - it was nearly dead.

Good news for ATC Lasham, and I'm sure they'll go far. The company is great to work for, and the people are fantastic.
