What is the significance of the AIDS parameter value TNR (Nacelle Temperature Reference)? Must this value be added or subtracted from the Nacelle Temperature value (TN) to obtain the real nacelle temperature?

This doesn't seem to be getting much of a response. I don't have the CFDS or the AIDS ref here at home, but as I recall the TNR displayed on the ECAM is the actual air temp from the sensor. The sensor range is approx -50'c to 300'c and the temp will flash green at approx 240'c. It's meant to moniter VSV and air duct leakage. I sure you know this and you require a more specific answer in regards to AIDS parameters, re-word it for the more technically challenged and I'll see what I can do.

Although I only know 330/340 I'm sure it is similar, and have just spent a couple of hrs trawling through the 340 manual. It is the same as Hiker says, manual says 3in long probe to measure core compartment exit cooling air temp. Indicates o/temp etc etc... It sends an analogue signal to ECU which converts it to an arinc output and eventually gets displayed on the SD. The only thing or reason I could think of why there is a reference temp is that to keep commonality across airbus a/c so that all nacelle temps read the same for 320/330/340, so that they all start flashing at 240C. Similar to the epr slug for the trent. I couldn't find anything at all on AIDS, hope this is of some use
