Anyone got any idea wat the the schools and degree SIA recognise? i heard RMIT aero degree is not recognised.... Anyone can help? cheers~

Yep. The Diploma of Air Transport from RMIT is not recognised. You would have to do a conversion from a CASA license to a CAAS license.
I think the only recognise aviation degree is the one from Massey University.

anyone heard of aerospace operation degree from Uni of tech sydney? How izit?

With rgards to flying schools....
To what i understand is that CAAS will not CONVERT any other licences other than those from Massey or Oxford as they have a letter of memorandum.
i.e. the flying conducted by these 2 flying schools met the standards set by CAAS (or rather CAAS has examined the training syllabus of these 2 schools).
Just my 2 cents...

fcuky, the AO degree by UTS is recognised by SIAEC and some others in the industry, in fact alot students are from these company.

SQ accepts degrees of any nature (that are accepted in Singapore). Be it in chemistry or economics.
Having said that however, a technical diploma or certificate from an institution is not universally accepted as these may not be compliant with the methodology or course of instruction.
Even if you pass the FAA Air Ops Certificate, you'll still have to get it converted by the CAAS for it to be of any recognition.
Massey & Oxford are the only two as previously posted. Oxford was where SQ used to send its pilots.
