CF6-50 availability [Archive]

Hi All,

Difficult to find an appropriate forum so "Questions" it is;

I´m looking for a CF&-50C2 in either S or US condition and my usual sources don´t have any available. Therefore any contacts or ideas as to where to look are greatly appreciated!

I think Southern have a bunch of spares.

US group. They have a few B747-200F. A mate of mine worked for them & mentioned they had a pile of spares - that would have been about 6 months ago.

Engines for the 747 will have CF6-50E or E2 nameplates and accessory configuration. GE has a Service Bulletin to accomplish the conversion to C or C2 - all external work.

Looks like a couple of 50C2s spare on this aircraft (http://www.thedailystar.net/2005/07/09/d50709011311p.htm) at CGP :ok:

If not maybe you could talk with Finova in London about the three that were on the ex Mytravel DC10 that is sitting at Kemble.
