Hi everyone
I am very into aviation or else i won't be here.i believe it is a common question that all of you came across this type of question.

First, do Air Asia advertise their cadet pilot programme via its homepage or newspaper ? because i have been browsing through the net and papers about a month and a half and found nothing. I also have submitted my CV and no reply yet.
Secondly regarding MAS cadet pilot, i also submitted my CV about a month ago and yet no reply. How long do the reply actually being sent after you submit it (if i got 'only selected candidate will be notified)?

any infos regarding those programme are highly appreciated.
Good day everyone and thanks for reading my message yah

authentic,

Welcome aboard the flight which all wannabes like me wants to join.....:D
About Air Asia,they dont advertise their cadet pilot programmes but you have to call and ask them about it.But most of the time the answer you will get is....."I'm sorry sir,we still have a lot of applications which we havent processed yet.You can write in but your application will only be processed after all the earlier ones have been processed,Thank you for calling"So as you can see,your's will only be processed if you're really lucky or if you have someone in the management who can fast forward your application.:{

As about MAS,maybe you should start calling them by now, knowing that its already been a month. But some have waited for 3 months before getting a call up.Anyway dude, the lesson is never stop hoping and keep on trying if you have the passions to go on and on and on.......

HI all,

Hurm...i am not sure about the name but you can check at langkawiaerospace.com regarding its services.. There are not any updates yet, i don't know why. Perhaps it is true they have change the name.
Regarding induction of new private cadets i am kind of happy that they started excepting them. But for people like us, the only way is through scholarship via MAS or AA, or else...
Anyways friends last week i ran acroos an cadet pilot recruitement from Royal Selangor FLying Club rsfc.com.my . It is loan based(from Bank Rakyat) to attain PPL -> ATPL for 12 months in M'sia and Australia. I might go there and give it a check.. Do you guys think it is worth it ?

Oh yes.. Among the richest, what do you expect when he owns vessels companies ! And now aviation industry ! Kinda flattering himself by putting his own name but what can we do, he owns it ! Plus he did a pretty good job setting up the flying centre, and seriously studying at his academy under his name, well, nothing much to loose right ?

Dear all :)

i have received a lot of question regarding RSFC(royal selangor flying club) cadetsthip. Like all of you, i have tried calling for so many times and at last, my call was answered. During the conversation, the person in charge ask me to go to the office in old airport road so he can brief me thoroughly.
So here what i get from him :
1) It is a loan base training from Bank Rakyat. It only covers your tuition fees which is about rm100k ++ . Means that you need to have your own money for food and accomadation. esp when u do your course in Australia !
2) This cadetship offer is only for 20 people and being offered once a year.
3) They will help you to get a job in LCC airliner e:g air asia coz major airlines such as MAS and SIA only recruit their own CADET.
4) They also offer you to be an AFI*flying instructor*

So, what do i think ? :
1) RSFC will be my last resort, means that if i failed to get air asia or MAS offer until i turn 25, then i go to RSFC. Why ? Simply because the job is not guaranteed, because even now, AIR ASIA is recruiting their own cadet. So what makes you think it is assured that after you complete RSFC, air asia is goin to recruit you ?
2) Be optimistic applying cadetship for air asia and MAS, who knows, GOD is in your side after all. But then again, if you are rich, go for RSFC then :)

till then guys :) good day!

Hey there,

First and foremost, if u have to pay for this course it, is not an International Airline Cadet Pilot scheme. Why u ask? If u gotta pay for it ...its not a cadet scheme in the broad sense and tell me which International airline other than AirAsia ( a big if???) that is going to hire a fresh pilot with 200 hrs????

I dont know about u guys but the deal sounds dodgy.

I called up this guy...pls be reminded its a Cell phone number, He doesnt even know the name of the flying school in Bankstown. I had to ask which part of Aus is the training at...he says Sydney...what a moron!? What the hells his problem?

i told him i was familiar with sydney and then asked him where excatly was the flying school...his answer...Sydney lah! Then i said look is it in Tamworth or Bankstown? He says Bankstown..i ask which flying school....he says there are many. 8 to be exact

I dont know but this guy is an idiot to think that i was going to beleive this was a real deal or a scam for the word go!

Look guys being familiar with the rates for getting a CPL/ Multi engine IR in Aus...100k MAL sounds too good to be true....even if you are going to do the 150hrs Integrated course...which does not include Multi Engine rating or IR!

Now since u guys have to complete your PPL here i GUESS then u guys will have to go for the 200hrs CPL course.....which minus what u have done for the PPL will mean u guys have to do about 145 hrs. Take the average PA 28 a/c and an hour with instructor will cost between AUD 180 to 220 depending on school 145 hrs will cost u guys 26,100 AUD to 31,900 AUD or in RM terms....RM 78,300 to RM 95,700

Just ME/IR costs anywhere between 9,000 AUD to 13,000 AUD depending on a/c and flying school. thats about RM 27,000 to RM 39,000 ....now u see that 100k MAL will not go far!

So in MY and i cant stress enough before this msg gets torn apart by other individuals....MY opinion.....something smells fishy and it aint just the ad itself but the entire deal just screams SCAM!

Well take it or leave it but i will agree on something beforehand, IF THE DEAL IS LEGIT THEN ITS ONE HELLUVA DEAL! But then again ...if it walks like a duck, and quacks like one...then ITS ONE!

Cheers mateys!

Hi people,

I've recently went to the cadet pilot thingy. It was said that with RM 100k, u will be able to complete the training from PPL until frozen ATPL, plus a diploma in Aviation from TAFE. Any comments?

Hey there :-)

I don't know mate, seriously kinda fishy.. 12 months from PPL to ATPL ?? and a diploma in aviation from TAFE ?? with only 100K ++ ??
Is just too good to be true.. coz what i REALLY KNOW is that diploma in aviation from TAFE takes about 12 montsh if i am not mistaken, ppl 12weeks(3months) , cpl 60 weeks (about 12months) and atpl 6 weeks.. do the counting mate ;-)
neways just be optimistic and keep applying for AA or MAS.

Hi Susheel,

I don't know what's the matter with you or you have any problems with anybody, but I am just here to share what I found out from that guy.

And yes, I have read your message and appreciate what you have done, and I have to say, I do agree with you. Again, just here to share what I heard with everyone here, not promoting or asking you to join. So, i hope you are not too sensitive with this. No offence. Peace.

Cheers,

Hey,

Nah mate no offence taken...but in all fairness i did not dish it out to you either. All i said was for u to tell HIM where to stick it....it was not meant for u.

As for the " if ppl still dont understand the logic....." it was meant for everyone who reads the topic as to be carefull, thats it.

Cheers mate!

Hi everyone!

I'm a student pilot currently doin my PPL here in M'sia.
I need advice on the psychomotor test thingy.
The reason for me asking is that my batch, including me( who did the test) did not make it through when we went for the MAS selection programme.
I would like to know who can I improve my psychomotor skills and also where on the net can I get any form of psychomotor test.

Thank you all and i would appreciate if someone could help me.

Dear all,

I'm not sure whether the topic about the rsfc cadet pilot scheme is dead...but I'll just post anyways FYI.

Just to substantiate what is pretty much confirmed, the program looks like a bit of a scam. For starters, the PPL is not offered by RSFC (which is cheaper, bout 20k) but 21st Century Management which I gather is some recently start up co.

In a nutshell, I was told that we pay RM30k for PPL here and continue all the way to ATPL in Basair, SYD for an unbelievable price or RM100k, board included...and that they had some sort of 'arrangement'.

So things seemed a little fishy and I did my own enquiry, so here's what Basair told me:

"Thank you for your recent enquiry. The course offered by 21st Management is based on you complete the PPL in Malaysia and then come to Basair to convert to an Australian PPL then progress to the Austarlian CPL. The cost you have provided is for the CPL component only. The ATPL and command instrument are available as add on modules, which will bring the cost up to closer to the value which you have mentioned from the Basair web site. The costing does not include accommondation."

From the website, the CPL toATPL would cost something like AUD53k. Board not included as you can see from the above.

Ok, just a bit of info so that any of you guys don't dive into the course ill-informed.

Hi middlekingdom,

Hmm.....i'm not sure about getting a psychomotor test on the net...well you just have to got a natural fast reacting senses.Since you're doing your PPL,i think some flying could do the trick....it's just a guess though....

By the way mate, apply again and go for the 2nd time, most people do get trough in the 2nd time......Good luck bro....:ok:

Pendekar, that surely looks shaky, taking advantage on many aspirers out there....no?Watch out guys.............:ok:
