Hi guys,
Can people employed within these LCCs please comment as to what the current recruitment plans are, or provide any information as to future recruitment plans... for F/O entry level.
Also, what are the typical successful entry (F/O) experience levels for these airlines? ICAO ATPL, 1500TT + A320 type rating? Do they take guys with a bare type rating with no time on type?
All replies appreciated.

In my view Jetstar Asia and Valuair are looking shakey. Tiger appears to be doing OK now they have a new CEO. Crew from Valuair have been applying to Tiger - should give you some idea! The Tiger crew are getting a new contract shortly, that is supposed to be better.
Jetstar appears to be having difficulty getting enough routes to be viable, has been parking their planes a fair bit and releasing excess crew to Air Deccan, etc. Valuair crew tell me they are getting hammered by SIA on the Perth run and that it seems to be drifting - surviving on cash injections from new partners etc.
Tiger may be worth a go... Type rating and ICAO ATPL should be a good start but with those hours you would only get a SIN CPL.
They have a website and maybe you can apply through there.
Good luck!

You guys are a bit behind the times...
Tiger lost 3 guys to Jetstar many months ago, whilst suffering the effects of the old CEO. Some these guys now say they now regret their decision as Jetstar is not doing well and thus their flight hours and pay are down. There are threads on Jetstar Asia's woes you can search for yourselves.
Facts are simple; Tiger has 4 hard working A320's and is continually expanding (now 10 destinations and adding more), and their loads are good. They are still recruiting and training MORE crews. This is not whats happenning at either of their rivals...
The new crew contract is as good as the other 2 and no one seems to be leaving Tiger at present. In fact a number of the contract CPT's from Europe like it so much they want to stay on.
And yes Mr "watchdog" - I am well informed, I fly and live in SIN and know crew in all 3 outfits.

Tuta,
you may, but then so do I.
Actually Tiger isn't taking on any more till more aircraft arrive.
Pax numbers aren't necessarily a good indicator of yield especially when you see what the specials are that are offered of late (then again TG don't really have to worry about that too much).
VF are overcrewed as 2 anticipated 320s didn't eventuate for whatever reason and of course J*A is way overcrewed as all would know - hence the temp transfers to Deccan - definately not a lot of hours to fly for the lads.
