I thought I saw a website once where they taught you how to herd sheep with a 402. Jackaroo or something it was called.
Was I dreaming or do people really do this?
and if so, why a 402? seems a little lare and overly complicated for the task.

Ooooooooooooh please post a link!
This I gotta see.
Now I am assuming you mean Airtractor 402, not Cessna 402.

:}
That might be it.
I tried to find it again, but never could.They went waffling on about how every so often, someone would roll themselves up and it was a lot safer if done with proper training.
Personally I think it's a lot safer if done with Land Rovers.

flew Cessna 401s and 402s for one of oz's largest cattle mustering companies....and never once used it for mustering.
Never heard of using one for that purpose.

Maybe I was dreaming, or maybe it was a spoof. It'll be like the unicorn now that I'll never quite see again :(

Cessna 402 would be a cheaper option Chimbu than Airtractor 402 even tho the attriton rate may be high.
I'd love to see the a yard that could hold 2000 head a woolies doing 180kts
