I have a 737 Type Rating issued by the UK CAA and a UK CAA issued JAR CPL. The Malaysain DCA have validated my license for 6 months, which is due to expire shortly.
The DCA require that 737 Type Rating to be current for validation purposes, but this is a fairly expensive exercise.
Does anyone know of a JAR approved TRTO in Asia.
Or would it be easier to convert to the Malaysian License, and what is involved in this process.
Cheers

Ya like Cav.Not says, . . . . join Air Asia, coz their pilots are running away faster than a rabbit escaping the hound dog
Even the Ops manager has run to Jet Airways, . . . hee hee hee

He's most probably IN Air Asia already ;)
easymoney, I converted my UK CPL ATPL, to malaysian licence by just doing the Malaysian Air Law papers 1 and 2. That was in year 2000 and they might have changed the rules so best to check with the DCA. Ring them up, speak to Williams or just ask Air Asia's DCA Capt when you see him at flight ops.

Already have the Air Law papers.
