What is going on with Korean Air? Any plans for hiring? Their website doesn't give much info, but I have seen that they have some orders....so I'm hopeful someone will get a job out of this. Also, what is it like working there? Any info will be greatly appreciated.:D

Not sure if it is still the same but they used to hire expatriate direct entry captains who were type rated, something like minimum 5000hrs total, 3000 command, 1500 on type, previous airline experience.

Quite a few retirements coming up this year, but have not heard any news of intaking more expats to keep the numbers balanced.
Perhaps someone else would be able to shed some light on this.
Perhaps we can just expect our numbers to dwindle?

Sorry guys, but Korean Air is living up to it'd sad reputation. Lots of noise, but little action about their ex-millitary pilot manager. But! If you don't care, enjoy and sweep their easy earn money.
