A nephew tells me that the Dark Master has once again quelled one of the voices of reason in Lisbon.

After expressing his concern over a number of alleged 'errors of judgement' on the part of a senior member of management the Accountable Manager was resigned last week.

He cited personal reasons and differences in management style.

The resignee was the third to go in the last year, all three in (coincidentally) similar circumstances. Let this be a warning to anyone that dare protest.

Looking to even higher management will not help either, they helped throw the last person to the wolves.

When will somebody have the wit to look at the common denominator in these cases? Hopefully before it's too late.

Dunno what's going on in Lisbon? Seems strange someone so senior would leave with no replacement.

What is going to happen to the pay rise promised by the out going Accountable Manager? Are we going to go back to the dark ages again?

PS Smeagel - I like your handle you're not who I think you are ??

Now that would depend upon who you think I am and if you think I'm me then the answer is no.

SnowPilot, what you on??? Most people don't drink on tour as you often get that surprise call after the min rest.

Thinking about it all, maybe a time for a change in management and it maybe it is not all bad. I hope we don't get a mad one!!

What makes you think there will be a change in management?

It is just as likely that one of the managers will simply take on another mantle.

And I know who you mean.

Smeagel, you sound like a Lisbon insider. Why all the axe grinding when you are getting what you really want in the end.

Jolly Banter!

If you work a 13.5hr day and your min rest is 13.5hrs why not have a glass of wine with dinner??

I guess because some people might still fail the test? I dont know how true this is but I was told some people dont need to drink to be close to the limit, which is scary.

Ill wind my neck in now anyhow I was only commenting on an earlier post where it sounded like someone might have been having more than a glass of vino ;)

You never know who reads these forums and the last thing NJ or any other company needs is its customers or the press (who do visit these forums for sure ;) ) picking up on things that are said. Scary isnt it? :}

Netjets.

I'm not a Lisbon insider, just someone who keeps his ear to the ground (cue Tonto getting run over by wagon and horses joke).

And a pessimist :(
