Hi all,

Was wondering if CX is hiring any cadets who are residents/citizens of Canada, train them and later base them in Toronto or Vancouver? Is it true that they all have to have rights of residency in Hong Kong or is there another way around it. Was just wondering. Any leads or info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ultrajetfuel,

You must be able to reside in Hong Kong in order to be eleigabl as a S/O. Though there have been several cadets who were hired from Canada, they all had the legal right to live and work in HKG. As a S/O you will be based in HKG until the time comes where you are a F/O, and are flying equipment which flies to (in your case) YYZ & YVR. Even as a F/O, you might be limited to a HKG basing given the type you're flying.
Have a thourough read through this forum, it offers many opinions on how CX is managed, and how the employees are treated. ;)
On the other hand, I wouldn't limit myself to this forum only. Do some research if this is what you want.
