Hello people,
I just want to know why MAS & AirAsia NEVER reply back to me even though i have submitted some applications for months now. I have submitted three times:{ and got no rejections or whatever reply.
I am so dissapointed. I am a University graduate in Aviation and am a malaysian citizenship and have all the qualifications they needed for their sponsorship program.
Can anyone please help me with my enquiries? I heard they needed a lot of pilots but i cant see any reason why they wont reply me?
:{ :{ :{
Please please please help me...

Don't be surprised mate, that is a typical THIRD WORLD AIRLINES (both MH & AK) way of dealing with applicants. My advice is, go and hunt for another job and never put too much hope on them, unless you/you parents/friends/relatives know somebody-somebody in management or politicians, who can do some MAGICS to your application.

If you have a degree in aviation,go make flaps and wing panel for Airbus in Malacca, earn the money, get yourself a private licence and fly for fun! Flying for a wage is gonna be a very sorry profession very soon worldwide, especially 3rd world countries.
Good luck!

This, my friends, is just the beginning. In MAS you will have to put up with this level of ineptness for the rest of your career! Don't expect for things to improve in a hurry.
In MAS, it is literally that the "left hand does not know what the right hand is doing." Flight operations might need the pilots prono, but HR treats the situation very blase. "If things get screwed up, not my problem. Why come to HR at the last minute and ask to expedite?" Imagine, just to get a circular printed, have to get in queue for weeks before you get your circular printed.
My advice is that unless you really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, want to be a pilot, don't work here. ...Unless you are really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, patient.:D Really

Aloyscious,
Maybe check this out?:
New Straits Times (Malaysia) February 13, 2005, Sunday excerpt:
"...MAS will be holding a recruitment drive during its travel fairs
on Feb 19 and 20 at Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, International Sports Area (PISA) in Penang, Permata Exhibition Centre in Kuching, Sarawak and the Sabah Trade Centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Interested candidates for cadet pilot positions can bring along an application letter together with a resume and relevant certified true copy certificates to be submitted at the recruitment drive booth
during these two days."

Is there a particular person to call in MAS HR to find out my MISPA results? Since I was renewing my passport the other day, I popped by HR and spoke one of the personnel. Apparently, results for my batch were not out yet 1 month after I took the test!!! and it's MCQ's!!...or maybe she was just plain lazy.
Initially, and by chance, the HR lady checked the interview list (instead of MISPA-maybe i didn't make my self clear)for the day I took the MISPA and saw your name there!! Well, congrats on making flight school again!

Hi! Thanks for the info. Do you have the contact number for Pn. Shakila? I only have Hj Azman's one, and not a single time has he answered....apparently he's conducting more psychomotor tests...or i just have the incorrect number
What I meant was that I saw your name on the interview list!, not the flight school one :)

heard that MAS has speeded things up now...u can get ur psychomotor test results straight away without delay.....and the whole process from applying to flying school will only take roughly bout 3 months.(i had to go through almost 10 months to come to where i am now.)
aloyscious, dream are great..they give u hope..albeit sometimes it may be unrealistic.putting too much hope on a cadet pilot programme is naive and self-sponsoring yourself doesn't guarantee you a future.if i were u,i would go on with whatever alternative careers that interest me and maybe someday get my self a PPL and fly for fun..:ok:

Aloy,
I understand how you feel. I've also sent in mine 5 months ago. No reply at all and the travel fair recruitment drive was nothing, they only save your postage bills.
