Is this fairly accurate? Any additional info or corrections?

US bases are ANC, LAX, JFK or ORD.

Freight pay starts at 63K up yo 105K for FO's. Captains top out at 150K. Aircraft are the 747-400F. They also fly 747-200F's but not for US based crews. The comapny requires you to stay on the freighter fleet for three years and then you can transfer to the passenger fleet. When you go to the pax fleet there is a substantial pay raise.

Minimum days off are 8, but from what I have heard schedules are generally 7 days on 7 days off.

1st Interview is in LAX or JFK at your own expense. If you are successful the company will fly you to Hong Kong for the second interview.

I just got back and unfortunately was unsuccessful. Cathay is a class operation and I will certainly reapply when I can. Not only did they provide positive space to Hong Kong but they put me up in a five star hotel and gave me $200 in spending money for the two days I was there! Oh well, back to the picket line at Comair.

If I can help any further let me know.

If any other readers are interested, application details are at www.cathaypacific.com. (http://www.cathaypacific.com.)

Good Luck to all!

John
