What is the living like in TPE for an expat?
Costs, food, entertainment, housing, travel, etc etc
Also is there any pleasure boating over there?
Thanks

You might try the search function. This subject has been covered at least a half a dozen times in the last two years. Look under threads on EVA and China Airlines.
The pleasure boating question hasn't really come up before. The answer, not really. Mostly fishing boats in the harbors and the Taiwan straight is not the best place. I'm betting there are some restrictions due to the military issues between Taiwan and China. The east coast is 99% fishing boats. Etops777 may know a little more if he cares to chime in.

SZ: Boating ? Taiwan ? err yes, but export only & for good reason. [Pls check weather underground]The Taiwan straits are one of the most consistently windy areas of the world [40kts+] combined with shallow water & industrial outflow = big [brown] waves. :yuk: Very few nice places unless you're exceedingly selective. Overall, not many sunglasses sold in TPE or KHH. East coast and Kenting sometimes ok.
