Been looking for an official website for Funchal withut luck.

Is Funchal open to GA aircraft, such as a PA-31 Chieftain.

Don't know about GA access, nomore, but if you search pprune for Funchal there is a lot of info and there should be some pictures of the 'new' runway as well.

I believe your refering to Funchal ( FNC/LPMA ).

They do have an Aeroclub which operates from the Airport maybe than can provide you with more information, when i get hope i shall send you the web address and some contacts, if you require any further information, please let me know or send me a PM.

What has Spanish got to do with a Portuguese website ( written in Portuguese by the way )?

Last time i was in Portugal i believe they spoke Portuguese... Or do you think that Portugal is in Spain :confused: :ok: :O

I had a friend who ran around Brazil speaking spanish to everyone, until his boss said "They speak Portugese here, dumbass".

Hiya!

Don't worry about speaking Spanish to portuguese people. Portuguese comes from Spanish and Galician (mostly the latter), so not a proper language as to be taken in consideration.

If you speak Spanish just try to pronounce only the consonants and sport some of that odd portuguese accent, speak fast andyou'll be a perfect portuguese speaker.

About Madeira... its ugly. Better go a bit south and enjoy some Canary Islands' paradise. Nice girls, lots of bananas (the fruit, dont get me wrong) and a much nicer place to be in general.
