Speaking of CAL does it matter much if you apply directly to them or through IAC.

I don't know....I don't think so although IAC don't do it for free so they must get their cut....as such CAL gives nothing away so maybe the cash comes from your contract? Not sure what the IAC deal is.

Any contract between IAC/CAL, or any agnecy, has the cost covered for the agencies. The applicants get the same (or very close) no matter which way he applies. Doesn't make sense for the agencies to let the airline pay better, and doesn't make sense for the Airline to let the agencies pay better. They (the airlines) look at the savings in adminstration cost such as followup checks adn chasing up records they don't have to do.
