A member of another forum passed me this video. It shows how to make a stun gun from a disposable camera. Whilst watching it I thought how easy it is to build and get through a security search point. What's your view on it?

It's definitely a threat. As are many, many other ways of hiding possible attack devices in normal household items. Just one of many we carry on board every day, I'm afraid.
It shouldn't be able to open the cockpit door, though, nor will it repel several strong-build pax on board the flight. :\

Watched the video and it looks more like something with which dumbass yankee kids play pranks on one another than anything to be taken as a real threat potential.

Good grief!!! What a time waster! Why is this news? Is SpeedbirdHeavy press or a wanta-be? Don't wast your time watching the video unless you truely forget your high school electronics (capacitors).

Excuse me....! The reason I posted it in the rumours and news section was because (If you care to read) under the forum title it reads..
Reporting Points that may affect our jobs or lives as professional pilots
Note the part that says MAY AFFECT OUR JOBS OR LIVES. This was passed on to me and from what I saw it could pose a security threat. An honest enough opinion. It is very easy to incapacitate someone if you use a powerful enough flash. Plus the fact that it is easily concealed.
There are too many people such as BOROUGH COUNCIL who spoil this website. There is no need for comments like that. The only person who has responded in a professional manor is Phoenix_X. Also, Borough, you need to run your posts through a spell checker. Your spelling is appalling.

Wow scary.
I hope that if anyone ever attacks me they use something less dangerous like a litre glass bottle over my head, or the broken shards to brandish at my neck. At least they cant use tweezers to give me assymetric eyebrows anymore.
