Weather in Kota Bharu

Help me please!
I will be landing in Kota Bharu (between the 15 and 18 of december) and drive to the north into Thai to Nariwat. I have been hearing that the weather is really bad right now: the airport was closed and there is flooding everywhere. Anyone has flown there today, anyone from that area that can help me assessing the situation?..(..if not under 3 meters of water already?):(

Yes it is raining there due to NE monsoon. Should also be VERY CAREFUL about going into southern Thailand as there are large problems there with fighting going on between govt and muslim rebels. Check with your embassy about going into four southern provinces of Thailand

I am still trying to figure out why you don't just fly to Haadyai and then drive from there to Narathiwat.
