They are operating the old Tradewinds L1011F, which was a one-off freighter conversion, completed many years ago...with the usual problems associated therewith.

The aeroplane was parked by Tradewinds late last year, then ferried to BKK...and, so far as I know, was due (overdue?) for heavy maintenance, and one wonders whether it was done to a proper standard...or not.

No recent info on the present circumstances of the operation.

Thanks for the info.

I have seen ads posted looking for pilots for DC10 and also 727s.

Since I have a 727 type rating, I was wondering if someone has more insights into this.

Just to clarify, the Tradewinds 411A talks about is not to be confused with the CL44 operator out of Gatwick, (mid eighties), also known as Tradewinds.

For 727, i think your would try transmile in Malaysia. There was a thread on it a few days back.

Sky Eyes Airlines L1011 is parked on the ramp in Bahrain operating for DHL to holiday destinations in Iraq, and has been for the last couple of months.
I thought that was a Tradwinds paint scheme.
