US plane missing in Afghanistan

The United States military says one of its airplanes carrying six people has gone missing over Afghanistan.
The plane was carrying three civilian crew members and three military passengers, a military statement said.

The military said search and rescue efforts were focusing on the Hindu Kush mountains in the centre of Afghanistan.

The Casa 212 civilian airplanes are used by the US Air Force to transport troops and equipment across war-ravaged Afghanistan.

Central Afghanistan has quite some high ground and can be cloudy during winter, may be it hit a mountain.

he US don't have a good safety record in Afghanistan...most air accident not related to war...

or a poor Afghan peasant shot it down with an old Endfield :p:{
