A quick survey.....where is the best and most friendly GAC?

Reason is, I had some superb service at the ZRH GAC. Not only efficient, but friendly, smiling and the best coffee in the world!! This doesn't seem to be common across the board at GA terminals.

I think that it would be interesting to hear some opinions from 'end users' as to who the best GAC is and why, as the service to our clients (who pay the bills) sometimes depends heavily on the guys and gals on the ground, whom we rely on for the slots, reception of the clients etc

Maybe it would help if we let them know that we know what is good service and what isn't.

So my vote goes to the ZRH GAC.... anyone else?

Now that is hard to beat. Most friendly, professional and naturally given service crew can expect. Even the most browned off all knowing and seen captains of the business cant even argue with that;)

Service People in Hamburg. Great service.

Imho most handling companies around London and Switzerland offer good service but are hopelessly overpriced. And why is there a requirement to use handlers in the greater London area in the first place?

I'll second Service People Hamburg - very helpful, and the aircrew rest area is great with everything you need to pass a couple of hours while waiting.

In the USA I've found any "MillionAir" location to give great service, as for Europe I thought that Signature at LTN did a real nice job. The folks at Gulfstream at LTN were real helpful in getting us back in the air one weekend back in May of this year.
:ok:

Wondering - it's actually not just in the London area but throughout the whole of the United Kingdom at airfields of a certain size. The reason is security whereby the UK government has decreed that all aircraft (and therefore crew and passengers) can be overseen at all times and not be left to wander about the airfield unchecked.

I believe this requirement pre-dates 9/11/.

a few words to that company: I have been there, one day as a customer, received good service.
Only one day later, we did not need handling at Hamburg, because our passengers did not request handling.
The SP staff did not even wave a hand when they saw us, (yes- only one day later!) not even a hello. Every pilot in Germany is laughing about their behavior (this happened to many pilots) and most german pilots are using Hamburg without handling. Most unfriendly people if you are not using them. And their fuel prices are much too high, it is possible to get much cheaper fuel at Hamburg. Rumors saying they lost their BP contract by end of 2004.

surely not

No mention for the team at the GAT in LGW yet? Crap facilities (thk the BAA for that) but a cheerful and welcoming band who look after you :D

Does that get me a big cuppa tea Yvette?

Heard a lot of good things bout Cape Town, South Africa. Think the FBO's name is Cape Aviation Business Centre - Anyone been there?

Would you believe Prestwick , UK. The people at Greer Aviation, the FBO, are really friendly and helpful and eager to be so. Great facilities for pilots and passengers (includes crew car: take note everyone else)

Have probably encountered the worst just recently.

Man with a van marshalls us onto the spot at Cork. Gives us a pile of irrelevant weather for the next leg and greets us with "It's now compulsory handling here - 250 Euro!" (before the landing and now outrageous parking fees :* )

F:mad:ing rip off - won't be going there again!
