Does anyone know who provides simulator training for the Westwind II? Preferably in the US.

Flight Safety Wilmington DE. and Simuflite at DFW. Be advised that there is no 1124A sim. only the straight 1124.

I've trained with the westwind staff at both the DFW and the ILG locations and they both do an equally outstanding job, go with the one that has the best deal.
It is true that both sims are westwind 1's but it really makes no difference in terms of flight handling and the "IA Jet" type rating covers both models.
Having said that, the '2 is deffinitely a beter aircraft to operate.

Yeah, I’ve got to agree with Astra here. The Westwind II is a superior aircraft to the straight Westwind. I have quite a bit of time in both. It is the same type rating.

Sorry no, I have not flown a Westwind in around 14 years, about 20 for the Westwind II. The last flight in a Westwind I flew was in 1990. I picked up a Westwind II, serial number 356, new in January 1980 and flew it until 1985.

I hope we don't buy this dinosaur... A Citation III would be better.

I would have agree, unless you need the range of the Westwind II. Then if you need that much range I would recommend a Sabre 65 for the same price. Both aircraft have a 2,300 nm range, but the Sabre 65 is faster, not as much baggage room however.

Ah hell the old 'canoe ain't that bad, I don't think you can get more bang for your buck for under 2 mil. Besides I don't know of many Jets in that class that you can fill the tanks, baggage and seats and still be under MTOW (Watch that fwd CG though!)
If you want newer, try an Astra for around 3.5 mil.
