Any goss on who it was or what happened to the guy who declared the emergency for low fuel and went into OOMS on the night of the 5th?
Was it an overflight permission problem?

Unforecast fog, unusual winds in the upper levels associated with the sub-continent and southern Arabian monsoons, destination airfield closure, no dip clearances blah de blah de blah.......nothing really unsual about these incidents, they are regular enough in this part of the world.

:hmm:

Are you actually involved in commercial aviation? If you would know that there are multiple reasons why an airliner would divert to an enroute airport due to fuel.....

Oops, just read some of your previous messages, so guess that this message is directed at one airline.. Are you trying to implying that some of your colleagues are departing with less than the required fuel?..

Mutt.

Sorry mutt, just reread my post and I do sound like a prat! Did not mean for it to sound like that. Too many night flights perhaps!
Was just a wee bit concerned when I heard the conversation this poor guy was having with Muscat. Seemed he had not much fuel left, a lot of pax, and a overflight clearance problem . Seems he made it to ooms ok.
It was not a Gulf based airline.
