Assuming a reasonable pot of money, or a rich aunt, which corporate jet type rating would you buy yourself as a Christmas present.
Assuming one has plenty of experince in corporate, in general, who would offer you a job.

What about a Falcon 50/900?
Same rating, great aircraft.
Nice fleet, even in Europe.

Apart from FLEXJET, who I thank for his response, I am very surprised at the lack of response...does a Falcon 50 cover a 900 on JAR...
Perhaps I should have headlined....I WILL FLY FOR BEER.....
Is there no one out there that has an opinion as to best waste my inheritance.....???
Well at least can I wish you all a Happy vacation.....

When you train for a Falcon 50 for example, you will get the 50/900 mention on your license (french JAA FCL 1.02)
In order to fly a 900, you will have to take a "differences course", not a full 900 type rating.
A 50 to 50EX "pilot differences" course lasts 8 days @ FSI.

There are several Citation operators out there increasing their fleets at the moment. 500/550 series covers a range of models and there are jobs around fo rthose with a type rating. Executive Aviation Sertvices at Gloucester can do a rating on CII and Marshalls of Cambridge can do one on the Bravo (Bravo is a much upgraded CII with a glass cockpit). The rating will qualify you for CI, CII, Bravo, Ultra, Encore and CV. The cheapest way is to do the Flight Safety course if you can get one.
Good luck

Thanks for your input Miles. I have the C1,2,3,5,7 already on my licence with over 2000 TT on these types, as well as LR, HS, BE, PA, Challenger and Gulfstream 4, and still can not find a job. Thats the reason for the question....Any more ideas guys...please...

One idea is to create your own job.
When you are experienced and flew different types of a/c, team with someone you trust, go out, put some nice clothes, make contacts, find the ideal future owner, figure out with him which a/c he needs, buy one, ...
Expect some sacrifice, but it is worth the try.
I am confident a good team pays one day or the other.

You have over half a dozen type ratings and 2000 hours in type and YOU can't find a job?
Then the market must really be horrible...so someone with a bunch of multi time and an fATPL without any ratings has really no chance...

Buy yourself a Global Express rating.

Not first hand experience but in the corporate wolrd, it isn't how many hours and type ratings you hold that really matter...
So don't despair and make yourself known. Easier said than done but getting a job in OPS for a biz jet operator could give you the break you are after ;) Right Max ?

FLEX: tried that, got close but not close enough.
I try to mix with the right people, and sometimes wear a smart suit...(not often.)
MAX: Thinking about Global.......any ideas apart from Execujet as to who might be hiring.???
ARCHER II: You are correct, but like all things being in the right place at the right time does work.
In general still have one or two irons in the fire. Thanks for the support, guys....Bumz
