Just heard on BBC world that the G3 that Michael Jackson chartered to fly him into Santa Barbara earlier this week had hidden cameras aboard which alegedly recorded proceedings on the flight. The charter firm attempted to sell the footage to ABC - who declined the offer (at least morality exists somewhere in the system).

The Charter firms lawyer stated "we felt like we had been handed a lottery ticket".

Now come on guys, I am no wacko fan, BUT, Biz jet passengers are usually biz jet passengers because they can a) afford to be there and b) require discretion and privacy in their dealings on board, including conversations, activities and destinations.

Wacko deserves the fidelity of the charter company providing the aircraft. IMHO, if a charter firm cannot provide these levels of discretion, then they really shouldn't be in the business.

I don't know the firm involved, but I hope this hurts them bad, they deserve nothing less.

It sure sounds to me like a great way for the charter firm to cut its own throat. High rollers pay for discretion. They don't want anyone to know about the deal they are working on, the mistress they are travelling with, etc. What high roller would now want to fly with those numbskulls?

I would have thought MJ has sufficient wealth to run his own bizjet, or are his finances stretched as much as the press have been claiming lately?

The company was XtraJet (http://www.xtrajet.com/)

This is certainly disgraceful behaviour from a 135 operator ( or anyone else for that matter) Whether the passenger is MJ or Winnie Mandella, they are paying customers and the industry relies on people like this in order to exsist.

Does anyone know the name of the outfit concerned?

ALL our clients will now be questioning their confidentiality. I will be very upset when I see any of my clients checking out the cabin for hidden cameras.

We all need every client and every fliught we can get!

It wasn't a G3...it was a G2 with winglets.

For shame, Skibeagle....maybe next time you will think twice before commiting such blasphemy. With any luck, his Highness will forgive you...
