The Internet Explorer Send/Receive button generally has a pull-down that allows send-only or receive-only.
I recently updated an XP-home system w/ IE6. Now the pull-down arrow remains, but there is only one choice: "send and receive".
I use another machine (with Win200Pro) where IE6 still offers the three choices.
Is IE6 on the XP broken, or is this yet another XP "special feature", or ?
Thanks,
SC

My OE is 6.00.2800.1123 running on both Windows 2000 and XP on machines side by side.
Top three lines on the pull-down you mention are:
Send and Receive All
Receive All
Send All
Followed by the individual Accounts listing.
No difference; nothing new.
If it really matters and you're sure that you're not missing something, re-install OE

Oops, I meant OE 6.... as you guessed.
But if I reload / reinstall, I'll have to get all the patches. I dread that.
I did a full XP / OE update only about a month ago. 34 megabytes over a dialup line.
Thanks, however.

You're welcome. I know what you means about all those patches but it may be possible to do the update on-line and incorporate some of the patches at the outset.

Just a followup.
I have done nothing to the XP OE system since my original message, but the missing choices have returned! All is well.
Talk about mysterious self-repairing problems......
